Believing the Love God Has for You
“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.” — 1 John 4:16
The Gospel is the good news that God loves you deeply, personally, and eternally. He has already moved toward you in Jesus Christ. The Gospel is not about achieving something or proving yourself worthy. It is about receiving the love God has for you and learning to walk with Him day by day.
What the Gospel of Jesus Christ Is
God is a good God with a good plan for your life. The days of inferiority are over when you understand the gospel. God knew everything about you beforehand — your mistakes, setbacks, and struggles — and He came to get you anyway.
More Good News
God has a purpose for your life. If God is going to get anything done on Earth, He will use the person He redeemed — you. You are valuable to God.
Yet More Good News
God loves you. God gave His very best for you in Jesus Christ. God is not angry with you. God is for you. He wants to do life with you. He wants to show you the richness of His grace.
Even More Good News
The gospel is the restoration of the family of God. When you said “YES” to Jesus, you became a son or daughter in God’s family. Sin no longer defines your identity.
Every day you walk this earth is a day of good news.
What the Gospel Is Not
- The gospel is NOT preaching people into hell — it is inviting people into heaven.
- The gospel is NOT simply the four Gospels; to understand the gospel, read the Epistles.
- The gospel is NOT the red-letter sayings of Jesus alone — the gospel began after the resurrection.
- The gospel is NOT the Law — the Law reveals sin, but the gospel reveals salvation.
- The gospel is NOT about your performance — it is about God's love and grace toward you.
The gospel means the God of the universe absolutely and unconditionally loves you.
How Great is God’s Love for You?
Greater than the mountains.
Greater than your walls.
Greater than time.
Greater than your condition.
Greater than your performance.
Believe the Love
Choose daily to believe that God truly loves you — not in theory but in reality. Walk with Jesus. Hear His voice. You are His, and He is yours.
