Benjamin Franklin said, ‘Give me twenty-six lead soldiers, and I’ll conquer the world. The pen is mightier than the sword.’ According to Franklin, there is power in the English alphabet. The same could be said for it’s Hebrew counterpart. Today we’re going to look at the second and the third letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
The letter pictured above is the Hebrew letter Beth. This is part 2 of the Series “What is the Hidden Power of the Hebrew Alphabet?” You can find part one by

Believers in Jesus are people of multiple focal points. We walk in the time dimensions of faith, hope and love. We live in the seen realm while we look at the unseen. We live out the will of God for our lives today while we look forward to our prophetic future. We are a people of two worlds. Is it possible to live a balanced two dimensional life?

U.S. Muslim Planned to Massacre Christians in Church
Khalil Abu-Rayyan is a 21-year-old Dearborn Heights, Michigan, man who gets excited by thoughts of beheading Americans, burning people alive and throwing homosexuals off of tall buildings. Beyond these fantasies, he’d actually made plans to shoot up a church full of Christians in Detroit, according to court records documenting his Internet conversations with an undercover FBI agent. According to affidavits filed in U.S. District Court in Detroit, he told the FBI he had already picked out a church for his bloody rampage. It was located less than a half-mile from his place of employment. He chose this church because it was large – up to 6,000 members – and he knew it would be an easy target.
“A lot of people go there. Plus people are not allowed to carry guns in church,” the FBI affidavit quotes him as saying. “Plus it would make the news. Everybody would’ve heard. Honestly I regret not doing it. (If I) can’t go do jihad at the Middle East, I would do my jihad over here.”

With God, there is no shortage of ways He communicates the message of redemption found in His Son Jesus (Heb. 1:1-2). Besides the Word of God, besides supernatural manifestations of His Presence, besides angelic appearances, besides pictures in nature, God uses other methods. The Hebrew alphabet was one such method He used to declare the hope for mankind. Way back before Jesus ever came to earth, God foretold of His coming in the living pictures of the Hebrew alphabet. In the first of this series we will look at some elements of the Hebrew alphabet along with the first letter Aleph .

Hoping to relieve him of financial pressure and enable him to write more freely, the first publishers of American writer Sherwood Anderson offered to send him a weekly check. After a few weeks, however, Anderson took his latest check back to the publisher’s office. “It’s no use,” he explained. “I find it impossible to work with security staring me in the face.” Unlike Anderson, the Israelite leader Gideon found that he couldn’t work without security staring him in the face. It was Gideon’s insecurity which caused him to ask God for two miraculous signs aimed at strengthening his faith. From a human point of view, Gideon’s fear is understandable. After all, his tiny force of 300 armed men was about to face an army of 135,000 Midianites. Gideon’s band seemed to have little or no chance against such a superior force. How did God help Gideon overcome the paralysis of insecurity?
Temple Institute Raises Funds for Draft Plans for 3rd Temple
JERUSAL
EM (Worthy News)– The Temple Institute has created a $100,000 Indiegogo campaign to raise financing for “architectural plans” to construct the Third Temple, which it says will be a “house of prayer for all nations” and will usher in “a new era of universal harmony and peace” as prophesied in the Bible. The campaign says, “After millennia of yearning, only one organization is paving the way for the rebuilding of the Temple. The Temple Institute (מכון המקדש) located in the Old City of Jerusalem is a research organization dedicated to the preparing for the construction of the Third Temple, including the recreation of 60 sacred Temple vessels ready for use once the Temple is rebuilt. These include the High Priest’s breastplate featuring the twelve precious stones of the tribes of Israel, the half-ton golden menorah, and the musical instrument of the Levitical choir.”

Years ago when slavery was officially abolished in Jamaica, some of the slaves in the remote areas did not know of their freedom. Years after their release had been announced they still continued to serve their masters, oblivious to the fact that they were legally free. Their owners kept the news from the slaves as long as possible, hoping to extract every ounce of work from their captives. These people put up with these conditions for only one reason. They didn’t know they were free. In Rom. 8:2 Paul says For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. You’re totally free because of Jesus if you only know it.

Sometimes a person’s insecurities and fears speak so loudly they can’t hear anything or anyone. People who do not understand their value have destroyed more good than the world will ever know. Lack of self-worth has held people back and buried their potential. How do we rise above the ‘noise within’? God wants you to know you have choices about voices.

In the second century, a Christian was brought before a pagan ruler and told to renounce his faith. “If you don’t do it, I will banish you,” threatened the king. The man smiled and answered, “You can’t banish me from Christ, for He says, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ ” To this the king angrily retorted, “Then I will confiscate your property and take all your possessions.” Again the man smiled and said, “My treasures are laid up on high; you cannot get them.” The king became furious and shouted, “I will kill you!” “Why,” the man answered, “I have been dead forty years; I have been dead with Christ, dead to the world, and my life is hid with Christ in God, and you cannot touch it.” In desperation the king turned to his advisers and asked, “What can you do with a fanatic like that?” The answer to this is nothing. You can do nothing to a man who knows his position in Christ. To this end Paul, in Romans 8:1 gives us a phenomenal ‘In Christ’ truth. There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

In early New Testament times, believers faced intense persecution. Nero, after his ideas to remodel the city of Rome were rejected by the Senate (he wanted statues of himself all over the city), set a fire in the Western part (poor part) of the city. According to Tacitus, the fire spread quickly and burned for six days. Only four of the fourteen districts of Rome escaped the fire; three districts were completely destroyed and the other seven suffered serious damaged. To deflect attention from himself, Nero blamed the Christians for starting the fire. Nero had a ‘superstitious’ edge in that Christianity was an unusual religion to the Romans. Romans worshipped idols and images, gods that you can see. Christians worshiped a God they could not see, a curiosity to Rome and a basis for mistrust. This distrust and Nero’s claim led to a persecution of believers. Believers, summoned to the back of Nero’s palace, were demanded to deny Jesus. When they refused, their bodies were dipped in tar and they were hung on poles in Nero’s garden. Christians literally became ‘the light of the world’. What primary traits did these believers in Jesus possess and how can those traits helps us make it through a bad day?

Many, when they think of Romans, think of the Roman Road, the road to salvation as this unknown quote reveals. There is a Romans Road that leads to Heaven! But, it is not one of the roads that was built by Caesar’s workmen. It is not posted on any of the 53,000 miles of roads that the Romans built. You will find the “Romans Road to Heaven” clearly marked in the Book of Romans, starting in Romans 3:10. Romans is the sixth book of the New Testament. This small book of sixteen chapters was written by the Apostle Paul while he was at Corinth. He sent it to the Christians at Rome by the hands of Phoebe, servant of the church at Cenchrea (Romans 16:1.2). But there are many other roads to walk on in this book. Today we’re going to look at some of them and why they matter.

Real Christianity acknowledges there are problems in life. Christianity is not a ‘pie in the sky’ entity. But, it’s not a ‘woe is me’ entity either. You are going to have problems because Satan, the mad dog, is loose on planet earth. Until God moves heaven to earth, know there will be problems. Spirituality doesn’t hide and pretend that real difficulties do not exist. But also know, God didn’t leave us without a remedy. With that said, here are some things you need to know in order to make it through a bad day.
