What Is The Glorious Liberty Creation Is Looking For?

Roaming through Romans

I ran into this whimsical illustration on two different views of creation. It is entitled, ‘Male and Female Views of Creation’. Woman’s View: God made man and said, “I can do better than that,” and made the woman. Man’s view: God made beast and man, then rested. Then He made woman, and no one has ever rested since, beast, man, or God. 1 In today’s post, we will continue our look at creations anticipation for deliverance as continue Roaming through Romans.

Manifesting God’s Love: Faith In the Lord of Glory; James 2:1

The entire second chapter of James addresses two areas: the hypocrisy of partiality  or prejudice (James 2:1-13) and the life-altering alliance between faith and works  (James 2:14-26). In the first section, using the rich and poor as an illustration, James disassembles the sin of prejudice, as it existed among the congregation.

The Bridge Commentary consists of four sections: Definitions, Background, Questions, and Comments.  The Definitions section explains all significant Greek words found in all the verses of this passage. The Background section contains material which will help to frame the passage in it’s 1st century setting. The Questions section includes queries you may want to ask of the text. Finally, the Comments section contains observations of the verses sorted in word or phrase order.

Why the Glory of God Makes Prejudice Unlikely

The Epistle of James

The entire second chapter of  the book of James addresses two areas: the hypocrisy of prejudice (James 2:1-13) and the life-altering alliance between faith and works (James 2:14-26). Prejudice, bitterness, segregation, hatred, disturbance, hurt, anger, and division rage between people. They rage in the hearts of husbands and wives, children and parents, students and teachers, neighbors and workmen, races and religions, denominations and organizations, neighborhoods and nations. Division in all its various forms is one of the greatest problems confronting the world. It is the most serious problem confronting men, for as long as men are divided from God and from each other, there is no hope of man’s ever being reconciled to God. God’s eternal purpose has been to create a new body of people, a people who will love Him and each other supremely. Note that this is what is known as the great mystery of Christ. 1 Using the rich and poor as an illustration, James disassembles the sin of prejudice, as it existed in the congregation.

Hearing What the Spirit is Saying unto the Church! In 1Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul lays out for the church an explanation of Spiritual Gifts. If you read the list, you will see that three of the gifts are vocal. Prophecy is words inspired by the Spirit in a known language. Tongues are words inspired by the Spirit in an unknown tongue. Interpretation of tongues is a Spirit given rendering of an unknown tongue. Below is an example of the gift of prophecy.
The following prophecy was given by Kenneth E. Hagin on June 22, 1988.

#020: What Happens When You Encounter Jesus? [Podcast]

In 1Jn 1:1-3, John testifies to his encounter with Jesus. John’s testimony is a simple one. Jesus is not an illusion – ‘we saw Him’. He is not a figment of our imagination, – ‘we touched Him’. He is not a fairy tale – ‘we heard Him’. If you believe in Him, your testimony can parallel John’s. By faith, you can see Him. By faith, you can touch Him. By faith, you can hear Him. By faith, you can encounter Him.

The Glory of God [Scripture List]

The Bible declares in Numbers 14:21 that all the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord. No matter what it looks like on planet earth. No matter what the news media may report or how dark the times maybe, you can rest assured that the Bible is true. The last stop on this ‘train track’ is all the earth will be full of the glory of God. Here are some verses that reference this subject.

Preparing the Way of the Lord

Isaiah 40:3-5 speaks of preparing a highway for God. This prophecy concerns the first coming of Jesus. According to Jesus, John the Baptist was of the instruments God used to prepare this highway for the Messiah. But, there is another coming of Jesus, a Second Coming. Another highway has to be built for the return of Jesus. How can we cooperate with God in this area? God’s heart has always been to flood the entire earth with His glory. How can we help prepare a highway for our God?

Containers of Power

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.” Discussing God’s power is not for the small minded. As you follow the trail of God’s glory and power in the Bible, you will find that there are ‘storage places’ where the anointing and glory can be stored. Let’s look at some of these containers.

Demonstrating the Glory of God

Experiencing Gods presence on earth is training for our days as glorified sons of God. The glory of God is a tangible reality. We should soak in it, know it and understand all we can about it. In the Old Covenant, the Israelites saw it. In the New Covenant, we carry that same glory, that same presence of the Lord, in ‘our earthen vessel’ (2Cor. 4:7). The glory of God can be studied in scripture as a thread that runs through both Testaments. You will find out if you do so, that believers in Jesus are supposed to be demonstrators of His glory and we are to do so until all the earth is full of His Presence.
