Podcast Notes

Bible Prayers Means Starting with the Promise

  • God’s method for praying Bible Prayers is for you to start with the promise.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) — 20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

  • When you start with the promise, you start with the answer.

1 John 5:14–15 (KJV) — 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

  • “If you ask anything according to His will, we have the petitions we desired of him.”
  • Did you hear that?
  • So, finding out His will is one major part of receiving an answer to my faith.
  • Mark this statement down, file it away in your spiritual data bank.

The Word of God is the will of God.

  • So let’s look at a few common areas of need that we confront as people of planet earth.

God’s System of Bible Prayers Is Based Hearing, Speaking and the Word in Your Spirit

Romans 10:17 (KJV) — 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

  • Notice that hearing is a part of God’s system.

Romans 10:9–10 (KJV) — 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

  • Notice that saying or confessing is a part of God’s system.
  • So, you must use your words.

Matthew 12:34 (NKJV) — 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

  • Notice that the heart is part of God’s system.
  • How do things get in your spirit?
  • They drop in there by speaking with your mouth and hearing with your ears.
  • Take a look at the following healing verses.
  • Read them out loud.
  • Hear them with your ears and get them into your spirit.

Building Bible Prayers in the Area of Health Issues

  • More than 95 percent of the world’s population is ill, the new analysis based on the 2013 Global Burden of Disease Study found.
  • What’s more, a third of those had more than five chronic or acute illnesses.1
  • Low back pain, depression, iron-deficiency anemia, neck pain, and age-related hearing loss represented the most significant proportion of global health problems during the period examined. These very ailments have led to the cause of health loss for the past 23 years, according to the research team.2
  • God’s Word has an answer for these areas.

Healing Scripture References to Build Bible Prayers

Exodus 23:25–26 (KJV) — 25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. 26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) — 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Matthew 8:17 (KJV) — 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Numbers 23:19 (NKJV) — 19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Deuteronomy 7:11–15 (NKJV) — 11 Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them. 12 “Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the LORD your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers. 13 And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you. 14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. 15 And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.

Proverbs 4:20–23 (NKJV) — 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. 23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

I thank you that your Word is true. I praise you that your Word is true to me. You said that by the stripes of Jesus I was healed. That’s past tense Lord and if I was healed then I am healed right now. So, I believe I receive my healing right now in Jesus Name. Thank you for it. From this day forward, I am going to act healed and talk healed because I believe I have received my healing and I know that all of your promises are Yes and Amen. Thank you Lord for my healing.

Bible Prayers  in the Area of Good Night’s Sleep

  • More than a third of American adults are not getting enough sleep regularly, according to a new study in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.3
    • This sleep study is the first to document estimates of self-reported healthy sleep duration (7 or more hours per day) for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
    • The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Sleep Research Society recommend that adults aged 18–60 years sleep at least 7 hours each night to promote optimal health and well-being.
    • Sleeping less than seven hours per day is associated with an increased risk of developing chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and frequent mental distress.

“As a nation we are not getting enough sleep,” said Wayne Giles, M.D., director of CDC’s Division of Population Health.

  • God’s Word has an answer for these areas.

I’m your beloved because I am in Jesus. You loved me before the foundations of the world. So, I qualify to receive this promise. So, I believe I receive a good night’s sleep right now in Jesus Name. Thank you for it. I thank you that from this day forward, my sleep patterns will be right. • Now, let’s talk about one more area that of building a prayer life in the area of the will of God for my life.
  • We are going to follow the same pattern we have up until now.
  • Let’s find some scriptures to base our prayer on.
  • That’s the only way we know that we are on sure footing.

  • So, sons of God can expect to be led by the Spirit of God.
  • He is going to show you the path of life.
  • And when the Lord shows you, you’re going to respond because you are one of His sheep and you hear His voice.
  • So again just like like before, or any area going forward, read the verses out loud.
  • Read them slowly.
  • Don’t speed read or be in a hurry.
  • Do your homework.
  • Think about these will of God verses.

Father God, I thank you for your Word. I thank you for your Son Jesus who is my Lord and my Savior. Thank you that in your Word you promised to lead me in the way I should go. I count on you to lead me. My dependence is on you to guide me. I look to you for direction and I praise you for the Holy Spirit of God who is in my heart. You said, He would lead me and guide into all the truth of your will. You told me to be a Kingdom Builder. How can I fulfill your mandate of putting your Kingdom first unless you show what’s my part in building it. I thank you for doing it, Lord. I desire to be used of you to make a difference, to touch people’s life, to build the Kingdom of God on earth. Help me to do it by guiding me with your counsel. So, I qualify to receive this promise. So, I believe I receive direction from your very heart right now in Jesus Name. Thank you for it. I thank you that from this day forward, I know your voice and the voice of a stranger I will not follow. My actions will be those of a Spirit-led child. No longer will I stumble in the dark. I will not say anymore I don’t know what God wants me to do because you are my wisdom and the source of my light. I thank that all of your promises are Yes and Amen. Thank you Lord for direction and for helping me know your perfect will for my life.

  • Again it pays to be meticulous and deliberate with your faith here.
  • Why shouldn’t you be?
  • You’re a critical God cherished member of the Kingdom of Light.
  • There are no unused members in the body of Christ.
  • Knowing the will of God is vital for you and God has a vested interest in your walking in it.

  • Act like you know that the petitions that you have asked of Him are yours.
  • Live your life like the answer is yes.
  • That’s believing you receive.
  • And that’s this week’s edition of Light on Life.
